If you have watched someone glide silently across the water on a Lift eFoil and thought about owning one, the first question is almost always the same: what does it actually cost? A Lift eFoil is a real investment. It is also a complete, ready to ride watercraft the day it arrives, not a kit you have to finish buying piece by piece. Below is a clear, current breakdown of the 2026 Lift lineup, what comes in the box, where the price differences come from, and what you might spend later if you want to ride all day. If you are still deciding whether an eFoil is right for you at all, start with our overview of what an eFoil is and how it works, then come back here for the specifics on Lift pricing.
The Short Answer
There are three current Lift eFoil families in 2026, and each one has a single starting price regardless of which board size you choose:
| Model | Price | What makes it cost that |
|---|---|---|
| LIFT5 | $14,999 | Full carbon board, carbon propulsion, the long range 2.2 kWh Gen5 Full Range battery, and the premium Elite Hand Controller. Up to roughly 90 minutes of ride time. |
| LIFTX | $13,999 | Lightweight carbon build with the smaller LIFTX Light battery, around 0.9 to 1.0 kWh. The lightest, most portable Lift, with up to roughly 45 minutes of ride time. |
| LIFT5 F | $10,999 | The same long range 2.2 kWh Gen5 Full Range battery and up to roughly 90 minutes of ride time, in a tougher, more affordable fiberglass board with an aluminum mast. |
That is the whole current range. Lift retired the LIFT4 and LIFT3 generations, so if you see those listed elsewhere at a lower price, they are previous generation and no longer current options. You can see all three live alongside their finishes and board sizes on our Lift eFoil collection page.
What the Price Includes
Here is the part that surprises people in a good way: every complete Lift eFoil is a finished system. You are not buying a board and then shopping separately for the battery, the motor, or the wings. Each one ships ready to ride.
As a concrete example, the LIFT5 box includes:
- 5'4 LIFT5 Board. The carbon board itself.
- Gen5 Full Range Battery and Battery Backpack. The 2.2 kWh long range pack, plus a backpack to carry it.
- 28" LCS Carbon 68 Propulsion and Case. The carbon mast, motor, and fuselage as one unit, with its carrying case.
- LCS Jet. The enclosed jet drive.
- 270 Camber Pro LCS Front Wing. A large, stable beginner friendly front wing.
- 46 Glide Bolt-on Back Wing. The matched rear stabilizer.
- Elite Hand Controller. The premium throttle with GPS ride tracking and a sunlight readable display.
- Lift Charger. The correct charger for the pack.
- LIFT5 Board Bag. A padded bag sized for the board.
- Premium Front and Back Wing Bag. Protection for the carbon wings in transit.
- Wing Hardware. The fasteners to mount everything.
The LIFTX and the LIFT5 F arrive equally complete. The LIFTX comes with its lighter LIFTX battery and backpack, a 32" LCS Carbon 55 propulsion, the LCS Folding Glide Propeller, a 200 Havoc front wing, a 31 Flow back wing, the Lift Hand Controller, the charger, and board and wing bags. The LIFT5 F comes with its fiberglass board, a 28" LCS Aluminum 68 propulsion, a 200 Surf V2 front wing, a 48 Surf back wing, the Lift Jet, the 2026 Gen5 Full Range battery, the Lift Hand Controller, the charger, and board and wing bags. In every case, the price you see is the price to get on the water.
Where the Price Differences Come From
Once you know that all three are complete eFoils, the gaps between them make a lot more sense. Three things drive the difference in price:
- Carbon versus fiberglass construction. The LIFT5 and LIFTX use full carbon boards and carbon masts, which are lighter, stiffer, and more expensive to build. The LIFT5 F uses a proprietary fiberglass board and an aluminum mast. It is a little heavier and a little tougher, and that construction is the single biggest reason it lands at $10,999 instead of $14,999, while still riding on the exact same long range battery as the LIFT5.
- Full Range battery versus the lighter LIFTX battery. The LIFT5 and LIFT5 F both carry the 2.2 kWh Gen5 Full Range pack, which is what delivers up to roughly 90 minutes of ride time. The LIFTX trades some of that range for weight: its LIFTX battery is around 0.9 to 1.0 kWh and gives up to roughly 45 minutes, but it makes the whole package dramatically lighter and easier to travel with. You are paying for range on one and for portability on the other.
- Elite versus standard hand controller. The LIFT5 ships with the premium Elite Hand Controller, with a carbon housing and a titanium trigger. The LIFTX and the LIFT5 F ship with the standard Lift Hand Controller. Both track your ride by GPS and both are buoyant, so this is a refinement difference, not a capability difference.

The Real Cost of Ownership
The sticker price gets you a complete, ready to ride eFoil, and many riders never buy anything else. That said, there are a few extras worth knowing about so the numbers hold no surprises. None of these are required. They are the things owners tend to add once they fall in love with the sport.
- A spare battery for all day sessions. One battery gives you a full session, but if you want to ride, swap, and keep going, a second pack is the upgrade riders reach for first. A Gen5 Full Range spare battery for the LIFT5 or LIFT5 F runs $3,880. The lighter LIFTX spare battery runs $3,200. A spare battery effectively doubles your time on the water in a single outing.
- Extra wings to change how it rides. Your eFoil already includes a matched front and back wing, but wings are how you tune the feel. A different front wing can make the board easier for a lighter rider or faster for an experienced one. As a rough guide, a Lift front wing typically falls in the range of about $900 to $1,100, and a back wing in the range of about $300 to $330.
- Board bag wheels. A set of board bag wheels is $250 and is the easiest way to move a fully loaded bag across sand or a long parking lot without straining your back.
- The Blowfish. The Lift Blowfish is a $599 stability collar that adds volume to the board. It makes learning easier and raises the maximum rider weight, which is a smart add if a heavier rider or a nervous beginner will be on the board.
- Maintenance. The ongoing cost of ownership is genuinely low. The main job is rinsing the board with fresh water after every saltwater session and keeping the connectors clean, which costs nothing but a few minutes. We cover the full routine in our guide to owning your eFoil.
