Laird 5'2 LIFT5 EFOIL
The 5'2 came out of a specific conversation between Laird Hamilton and Nick Leason. Laird wanted one board for flat water speed and surf, enough surface volume to handle heavy water, narrow enough to actually move through it. At 64 liters and 23.5 inches wide it sits in between the 4'4 and the 4'9. That width creates a narrower profile for the length, reducing aerodynamic drag in flight, keeping the rails pulled in for deeper carves, and concentrating mass closer to the center. The 68mm propulsion and Gen5 Full Range Battery provide the power output to match. Hand-laid hexagonal carbon construction throughout. Built on LCS, compatible with every propulsion, wing, and battery in the lineup. This is a limited run for 2026.
- 64 Liters in a Narrower Profile: 64 liters distributed at 23.5 inches wide, 1.5 inches narrower than the closest comparable LIFT5 at similar volume. Bigger riders get the takeoff float they need without the width penalty that adds swing weight.
- Shaped for Surf and Flat Water: The pulled-in nose, narrower tail, and surf-oriented rocker profile translate directly to how the board handles in open ocean and chop. It tracks clean at speed and responds immediately off the tail.
- 68mm Propulsion – Lift5 power output 200 Havoc LCS wing: The 200 Havoc generates lift at lower speeds, a wing that earns its place in surf where timing and pickup matter. The 26 Flow back wing tightens response off the tail.
- Quiet Ride Technology: Direct drive motor. No gears, no noise. Hear the water, not the eFoil.
- Hexagonal Carbon Weave Construction: Exclusive to the Laird collection. Hand-laid at our Puerto Rico factory. Structurally stiffer than standard carbon under the torque load of the 68mm motor and Gen5 battery weight. Visually distinct from anything else in the lineup.
- LCS – Full Ecosystem Compatibility: Tool-free swaps across mast length, wings, and propulsion. With a battery adapter, the 5'2 runs the LIFTX battery and 55mm propulsion. One board, two configurations.
- 2026 Gen5 Full Range Battery: 2.2 kWh. Approximately 90 minutes of ride time on power. Built for range, the right pairing for flat-water distance sessions and extended surf.
- Elite Hand Controller: Carbon fiber housing with titanium trigger. GPS ride tracking, real-time battery readout, sunlight-readable display. Buoyant. Compatible with every Lift eFoil ever made.

New Favorite Sporting Activity
My best buddy and I had such a great time in our first lesson together with Mark at Luxury Surf. We both stood up and learned all the basics. The headphones made the communications easy so we could focus on improving our skills at riding. I bought my Efoil shortly afterwards and Mark helped there too. Now I have a new favorite sporting activity that is a great workout!
